The ExaLINK Fusion is a uniquely flexible top-of-rack switch that can do it all.

With a combination of 110ns Layer 2 switching, 95ns Layer 1.5 forwarding and 5ns Layer 1 functionality, it is an unbeatable choice for any application requiring low latency networking. A pluggable line card architecture allows configurations of up to 48 ports of 10G or up to 12 ports of 40G. Within the chassis, two module bays allow application specific or custom modules to be fitted.

The Layer 2 switch module is fitted to one of these bays, leaving the other free for FPGA applications using the FPGA development kit allowing deployment of customer applications right inside the switch.

High frequency trading customers use the ExaLINK Fusion to seamlessly reduce their end to end latency in their networks. Share a single network resource such as an order line by taking advantage of the Fusion's 95ns aggreation latency, many times lower than a traditional switch.

On the return path, optionally deliver order acknowledgements to clients by using layer 1 data distribution, replicating feeds at 5ns. In addition, use layer 1 fanout to distribute multicast to consumers with ultra low latency and negligible jitter. Share a single network resource such as an order line by taking advantage of the Fusion's 95ns aggregation latency, many times lower than a traditional switch.

Patch & Tap

5ns tapping and patching. Dynamically tap the feed on any input or output to any other port, replacing conventional optical taps.

Dynamically patch any port to any other port to create bidirectional layer 1 links. Clock and data recovery circuitry ensures signal integrity is maintained throughout your network.

Aggregation

95ns aggregation. Aggregate multiple streams with extremely low and deterministic latency by bypassing MAC address lookups, sharing a single network resource fairly.

Optionally, use Layer 1 on the return path to further reduce latency and jitter, guaranteeing response times.

Switch Latency

105ns port to port latency with full Layer 2 switching. The industry's lowest latency cut-through Layer 2 switch.

Supports ultra-low latency broadcast and multicast.

Redefine your network

The modular ExaLINK Fusion can be shipped with a Xilinx Ultrascale FPGA module that allows you to completely redefine the way your network operates.

The Layer 1 technology in the Fusion allows you to create dynamic circuits between any and all front ports and the FPGA. Buidl custom packet processing engines, filter traffic, and switch based on packet content.

Dual Modular Bays for X86 Compute or FPGA IN the switch

Fit two FPGA modules or x86 processors. Connect any high speed transceiver to the front panel by creating dynamic layer 1 circuits.
