Lowest Latency
An enterprise class x86 dual processor design was selected as the optimal platform for highest performance with the requisite RAS features such as ECC memory and datacenter remote management software to support a mission critical financial application, while still allowing for quick ramp-up with software development. Highest speed CPUs supporting the fastest memory frequency were utilized for maximum hardware acceleration characteristics to minimize processing latency. Network latency was reduced by the selection of the lowest latency 10G/40G add on networking cards for qualification and integration of Solarflare, Mellanox and other leading NICs with the Hyper Speed Ultra solution.
Minimal Jitter
To reduce jitter, Hyper speed ultra provides a tuned BIOS specifically tailored for low jitter applications. When the system is initialized, the server's Smart Stepping BIOS automatically accelerates the system with a lockstep algorithm to ensure stability. The new Hyper Turbo mode allows the CPU turbo mode frequency to be maximized and stabilized indefinitely to prevent system performance fluctuations, while the frequency and duration of interrupts to lower latency outliers.
Highest Compute Performance
Supermicro delivers world record performance with its compute speed and memory bandwidth capabilities while providing enterprise class reliability for mission critical applications. Supermicro is able to enhance the highest performance intel Xeon E5-2600 v3 (165W+) processors and DDR4 with its proprietary Hyper speed hardware acceleration technology, achieving application performance improvements up to 78% faster than the previous generation including enhanced floating point and integer processing performance resulting in several SPEC CPU world records. 3rd Generation Hyper speed ultra also introduces Hyper turbo mode, allowing the system to maintain maximum CPU turbo mode frequency under intense workloads. With the Low Latency optimized SKUs (1028UX-CR-LL1/LL2), CPU frequency can be maximized indefinitely. Without Hyper turbo, most workloads will see a drop in frequency within seconds.

Exclusive Hyper Speed Technology
Supermicro designs and build all the hyper speed hardware. Hardware optimizations include proprietary serverboard level optimizations to accelerate the CPUs, memory, PCI-E cards and other components in lockstep for maximum reliability. The serverboard incorporates the latest VRMs for flexible tuning with Hyper Turbo power delivery technology. Non shadowed CPUs, customized heatsinks and up to 8x high speed fans provide optimal cooling for highest performance.
Firmware optimizations include BIOS optimizations for 12% lower latency and 87% lower 99.99th percentile latency (low latency "LL" optimized SKUs only) over comparable E5-2600 v3 processor based competitive servers. Also available are easily adjustable Hyper Speed levels to adjust acceleration levels, voltage and memory latency adjustments with real time monitoring and auto recovery failsafe options for aggressive tuning.
To enhance Hyper Speed Ultra server quality, Supermicro pre screens the processors, memory, low latency NICs and server board during production to ensure complete system reliability during an extended 7 day burn in process. Supermicro pre-accelerates the CPU and memory so customers can focus their engineering resources on software development and tuning.
