Based on the 12 Core variant of the SPARC T3 processor, the Oracle Netra SPARC T3-1BA ATCA blade provides a 50% increase in core and thread density and a 15% increase in performance while maintaining its single slot profile. As the next generation Netra SPARC ATCA blade, it brings the PICMG 3.0 compatibility, NEBS Level 3 Certification, ETSI compliance and the Netra business practices to the customer solution.
This blade server offers I/O compatibility and power and thermal similarities compared to the previous generation blade, making upgrades a very simple procedure. The Netra SPARC T3-1BA ATCA blade server offers an AdvanceRTM for I/O expansion, a CompactFlash slot to increase user flash support, and 8 DIMM sockets for large memory applications.
AdvanceRTM I/O slots enjoy broad 3rd party support for a variety of I/O cards. This system is also compliant to PICMG 3.0 R2 and PICMG 3.1 Option 9 for user data. In addition, the Netra SPARC T3-1BA is offered with the Sun Integrated Lights Out Manager (ILOM), which enables simple remote monitoring and management from anywhere on the network. Finally, the Netra SPARC T3-1 supports Oracle Solaris 10, which will provide full binary compatibility with earlier Netra SPARC servers, preserving investment.
