Enterprise File Sharing (NFS and SMB)

Under the DDN family, both Nexenta by DDN and Tintri by DDN have collaborated to offer an option leveraging NexentaStor technology as a virtual NAS appliance for file services.

In today’s virtualized datacenters, it is common to have different storage solutions used as primary storage for applications running in virtual machines/virtual desktops, and for general file sharing and user profile storage. There are increasingly more applications and uses cases, forcing some to look to different vendors to add on to their current deployment. Is adopting and integrating a different vendor solution the only answer, ultimately adding complexity? With inevitable growth and system lifecycles, there is an opportunity to consolidate file sharing on the same primary storage used to serve virtualization.

Serve your VM workloads alongside full-featured file services

o take advantage of the opportunity for consolidation, Nexenta by DDN and Tintri by DDN have optimized softwaredefined storage for Tintri’s infrastructure so that customers can serve their VM workloads alongside full-featured file services (NFS & SMB) under one, consolidated solution.

This allows customers to capitalize on their investment with the addition of a software integrated into their existing storage. With a specialized Virtual Storage Appliance for Tintri infrastructure, customers can seamlessly add software-defined file services to their existing virtualized environment.
